Welcome to Linchpin.

linchpin | ˈlin(t)SHpin | (also lynchpin) noun

Definition:

  1. A pin passed through the end of an axle to keep a wheel in position.
  2. The thing that holds it all together.

Everyone in ag is familiar with the need for a linchpin to hold a wheel in place. In today’s trying times linchpins are the reason why our country won’t collapse.

That’s you. And everyone in ag, from the growers to the truckers to the processors and more. Your everyday work will hold it all together. But who will support you?

As you all know, The AG Mag and CATTLE Mag are devoted to celebrating our farms, fields and families. Now more than ever we are here beside you as you work to sustain our country. During these trying times we will be continuing on strong with both The AG Mag and CATTLE Mag.

We’ll be posting every day to the Linchpin blog. We envision Linchpin not as place for breaking news or negativity, we have plenty of that, but rather an extension of our magazines.

That means constructive stories about our lives in the ag community, whether it’s about the huge community response that Shannon and Luke Thompson are having in Washoe Valley Nevada with their local meat and produce store or in Surprise Valley farm families are still carving pumpkins.

We welcome your stories and comments. We’re here to celebrate you.
